I just wanted to put up a couple new pics of Jackson, my favorite dog in the NYC.  He lies down in an absurd way all the time, kind of like he was run over by a truck.  Here he is at home.

Spencer is the larger guy on the right, Humphrey on the left.  When I finally got a chance to say hello, they pretty much posed for the picture.  Awesome dogs and very friendly!

Layla was dressed for rain, but wanted to go home.  Hard to see she's a small French Bulldog.  Gotta laugh at the raincoat.

Bad Luck

Today there really weren't many dogs out and of the three I was close enough to see, two of the owners or walkers weren't happy with my taking pictures of their dogs. The first was a walker that didn't know if the owner would mind and the second was a woman in a huge hurry.

My first rejections.

Though there are no photos to share with you, I will say you missed a very small white poodle and a happy Westie with a wet black nose. Oh well. According to the motto of TD "Perhaps someday it will be pleasant to remember these things, too." I find it's easier to remember with pictures, though.

24th and 7th

This was an extremely friendly Golden who had just gotten out of Doggie Day Care. He was picked up by his owner in a suit and was thrilled to go home. This was as still as shot as I could get. I got his name at the time and texted it to myself, but autocorrect destroyed it and I no longer have any idea what it was. I do know it definitely wasn't "Manhood." I'll try to get it again if I'm lucky enough to see him around.

These three were on 12th Street near 5th Avenue. The one in the front was a bit protective of her owner, and you can't see it from this picture, but she had a pink sparkly collar. And if you can't make out the one in the back too well, it's because she was really a fat little dog. Cute, though.

Rocco, on 24th between 5th and 6th, was an extremely friendly French Bulldog. The only way I could get him to sit still was by offering my hand for him to sniff and lick. Made my day, which was not very entertaining (too much paperwork) until I met him.

23rd and 6th. Dopey. He really wasn't sure what was going on and his owner was apologetic that he was dirty, though I didn't notice that at all. He spent some time sniffing at a nearby wall

This is Feisel (sp?). Very friendly and happy to get attention on 23rd St. and 6th Ave.

Two women were not happy to stop and I'm pretty sure they thought I was crazy, but they let me take a picture of their dog all the same.

I couldn't catch up as he was crossing the street quickly.

Murry Oscar and Louie. I don't know who's who, but they were all pretty awesome. The little one, who's hard to see in the shot, was a very sweet puppy.

Jeter on 8th Avenue

Chelsea on 24th between 7th and 8th

Berkley on 6th Ave and 24th Street

Arthur on 22nd Street and 7th Avenue

Amber. She got caught in the rain.

A different Jackson on 22nd street

Today was a good day for these three.
I forgot to mention, but Dexter also had a very nice black nose.
Dexter.  He was walking with Jeager and Val.
Jaeger.  Very sweet dog.

Jake was very friendly.  It was asking too much for him to stand still, but he was very happy today.

I only saw one dog with a raincoat, but people were moving pretty quickly in the streets so I didn't get all the names.  Still, a good day to walk at lunchtime.
This is Val.  When the rain let up, lots of dogs came out for walks today.

Great Dane on Spring Street

On my way home, on Spring Street, after picking up my breakfast the other day.

My incredible pictures

Yup, they were taken from my cell phone and I'm no pro. Still, the dogs are great, so please bear with my photography skills.

Jackson, the obvious star dog of NYC, looking absurd in my apartment. Also, I am wearing one sock, please ignore that.

This dog was much happier with the water than its owner, who seemed a bit distressed.

A very friendly Afghan hound walking near my apartment.

It was hard to get this puppy to stand still for a picture, but it'll have to do.

24th And Broadway

I was picking up some lunch the other day at the outdoor restaurant stands...

Welcome

Welcome to my blog. As I walk through the city, mostly on my lunch break, I've enjoyed meeting many dogs and I thought people would enjoy some of the pictures.
